Kitchens and baths are where a home earns its keep — used hardest, judged closest, and most likely to date a house. Done right, they're also the best return on a remodel.

What Our Customers Say
Hear from homeowners who chose to build with us
Richard & Carol Kellerman
Eastport, Annapolis MD
We'd been planning this house in our heads for thirty years. Tidemark was the first builder we talked to who actually listened — to the site, to how we live, to what we'd been dreaming about. When they found that oil tank during excavation, they called us the same day, explained exactly what it meant, and had a plan by the end of the week. We moved in before Thanksgiving. The screened porch alone was worth every penny.
Tom & Diane Donovan
Mayo, Anne Arundel County MD
We'd lived in that house for 22 years and loved the lot but tolerated everything else. Tidemark gutted it and gave us back a house we're genuinely proud of. The FEMA compliance piece could have been a nightmare — we'd heard horror stories from neighbors — but they handled every bit of it and kept us out of the weeds. The kitchen faces the South River now. We eat breakfast watching herons every morning. We're not going anywhere.
Susan Whitfield, Kent Island
Queen Anne's County MD
Twenty years of a kitchen that faced a wall. Tidemark turned it around in nine weeks — and I mean that literally. The island faces the Chester River now, the french doors open to the dock, and the great room finally feels like the best room in the house. They warned us upfront about a plumbing issue they found during planning. No surprises, no change orders, no drama. Thirty guests at Thanksgiving in the new space and I cooked the whole meal without once wishing I was somewhere else.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our process.
We handle all permitting — county building permits, MDE reviews, Critical Area approvals, floodplain certifications. You don't need to know the difference between them. That's our job.
We find most surprises before they happen. Our pre-construction process includes a full review of the site, the drawings, and all MEP systems before work begins. When something unexpected does come up — and occasionally it does — we call you the same day with an explanation and a proposed solution. Never a bill before a conversation.
Every project is different, so we don't publish price-per-square-foot numbers that don't mean much. What we do is provide a fully detailed estimate before you sign a construction contract — so you know exactly what you're getting and what it costs. We can typically give you a ballpark range within the first conversation.
A kitchen remodel typically runs 8–12 weeks. A whole-home renovation runs 4–8 months. A custom new build runs 10–14 months. We'll give you a project-specific schedule before construction begins and measure against it every week. You'll never have to wonder where things stand.
Yes — it's a significant part of what we do. We have deep experience with Anne Arundel County and Queen Anne's County Critical Area requirements, MDE permits, FEMA Substantial Improvement rules, and the tidal zone material specifications that waterfront projects require. If your lot is near the water, we've likely built something like it before.
