The Eastern Shore has its own permitting landscape — Queen Anne's County building department, Critical Area considerations along the Chester River and the Bay, and tidal zone material requirements for anything close to the water. We've navigated all of it on Kent Island projects and know what to expect from the process.
Our Kent Island Kitchen & Great Room project is the clearest example of the transformation this market calls for: twenty years of a kitchen that faced a wall, a nine-week renovation, and now the Chester River is the backdrop for every meal. The project required a full MEP conflict review before demo, a drain stack reroute planned six weeks in advance, and a coffered ceiling with a gas fireplace that anchored the great room to the new french doors. The Whitfields hosted Thanksgiving in the finished space — 24 guests, three sets of doors open to the dock.
